What socket size do these bulbs use, and will they fit my existing string lights?

Our bulbs use standard US sockets: E12 Candelabra Base (for C7, C9, and 3W C7 sconces), E17 Intermediate Base (for select vintage C9 cords), and E26 Standard Medium Base (for G40 and S14 patio string lights). Please check your stringer socket size before ordering to ensure a perfect fit!

Are these bulbs shatterproof and suitable for winter storms?

Yes. Constructed with high-grade shatterproof PET/plastic shells and rated IP65 waterproof, they will not break if dropped on driveways or buffeted by heavy snow, hail, and sub-zero temperatures.

Can these bulbs be dimmed?

Most models (G40, S14 Warm White, C7, and C9 Faceted) feature smooth 10%–100% dimming compatible with standard LED dimmers. Dedicated high-lumen versions (such as 3W C7) are non-dimmable to ensure steady, flicker-free performance.

Can I use these on low-voltage or Solar String Lights?

No. These are strictly calibrated for standard US AC 120V household outlets. They are not compatible with 3V or 12V DC solar setups.

How much energy do they save, and can I connect strings end-to-end?

Drawing only 0.6W to 1W per bulb (saving >85% compared to old 7W-15W incandescents), they stay cool to the touch and allow you to safely connect extensive strands end-to-end across long rooflines without tripping circuit breakers.
