Compatibility & Fitment
The E12 base fits compatible 120V string-light sockets, patio fixtures, pendants, and decorative lighting. Use these bulbs for patios, yards, gardens, weddings, parties, homes, cafes, restaurants, and other indoor or outdoor décor. They are suitable for 120V plug-in string lights and are not compatible with solar string lights.
The bulbs are waterproof and rated for outdoor use, including fixtures with suitable moisture protection. Verify that the fixture accepts G40 bulbs, E12 bases, and the 100–120V, 60Hz supply range.
When to Replace
Replace a bulb when it flickers, becomes noticeably dimmer, shifts in color, fails to illuminate, or develops a cracked globe or burnt base. On string lights, a dark section can also indicate a failed bulb or a socket connection problem. Replace damaged bulbs before outdoor use, even if they still illuminate.
Installation Tips
- Turn off and unplug the string light or fixture before removing or installing a bulb.
- Allow a hot bulb to cool before handling it.
- Align the E12 base and hand-tighten the bulb into the socket without forcing it.
- Use only with dimmers rated for LED bulbs; confirm dimmer compatibility before operation.
- For outdoor installation, use sockets and connections designed to protect against moisture. Keep connections sealed and do not install damaged bulbs.
