Compatibility & Fitment
This kit is designed for select Whirlpool, Maytag, Kenmore, Amana, Crosley, Admiral, Roper and Inglis top-load washing machines. Supported washer examples include WTW5000DW1 and MVWX655DW1, along with other models using the corresponding replacement part numbers. Verify the washer model and original component numbers before installation.
When to Replace
Inspect the actuator, clutch kit and belt when the washer will not agitate or spin, spins slowly, makes clicking or grinding noises, leaves clothing soaking wet, or produces a burning smell. A worn or damaged component in the drive system can prevent normal agitation and spinning. Replace damaged parts together when the symptoms and inspection indicate wear across the drive system.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect power and unplug the washer before beginning service.
- Use common hand tools and wear protective work gloves during installation.
- Compare the replacement parts with the original actuator, clutch kit and belt before fitting them.
- Check the 6-pin actuator connector and ensure all connections are secure after installation.
- Confirm that the drive belt is correctly positioned and that the washer model matches the listed fitment information before operating the appliance.
