When to Replace
- Time Interval: Filters should be replaced every 2 months or after 60 tank refills to maintain water quality.
- Taste/Aroma Changes: Noticeable chemical or metallic taste in the coffee, indicating the activated carbon is saturated.
- Limescale Buildup: Visible white mineral deposits in the reservoir or slow brewing times, suggesting the ion-exchange resin is exhausted.
- Machine Alert: When the brewer's digital display indicates a "Change Water Filter" reminder.
Installation Tips
- Soaking the Filter: Soak the new filter cartridge in a bowl of cold water for 5–10 minutes before use.
- Rinsing: Rinse the soaked cartridge under running tap water for 30 seconds to flush out any loose carbon dust.
- Assembly: Slide the cartridge into the base, then push the tall handle down until it clicks into place.
- Base Attachment: Ensure the bottom of the filter assembly is aligned with the circular intake at the bottom of your water reservoir and press down firmly to seal.
- Reminder Dial: If your handle features a date dial, set it to the current month to track your 2-month replacement cycle.
