When to Replace
- Replace the engine filter when it is visibly dirty, airflow is restricted, or engine operation may be affected by a loaded filter.
- Replace the cabin filter when HVAC airflow is weak, interior air becomes dusty or odorous, or the filter is visibly clogged.
- For routine maintenance, replace both filters every 12 months or 12,000-15,000 miles, depending on driving conditions.
Installation Tips
- Confirm the year, model, engine, trim, and original part number before removing the old filters.
- Install the engine filter in the air-box tray with the sealing edge seated evenly and the airflow direction aligned with the vehicle markings.
- Install the cabin filter with its airflow direction aligned to the HVAC housing markings. Do not force the filter into a distorted tray.
- Remove loose debris from each housing before installation, while keeping dirt from entering the intake or HVAC duct.
- Close and secure both covers fully, then check for proper engine air-box and cabin-filter access-panel fit.
- Lifetime protection is provided for defects or issues with the product.
