When to Replace
- Replace the existing remote when buttons no longer respond consistently, the pointer or scroll control fails, or voice commands are not registered after installing fresh batteries.
- A replacement is also appropriate when the housing, buttons, battery contacts, or control wheel are damaged or worn.
- Confirm that the television supports the required voice and pointer functions before replacing the remote.
Installation Tips
- Insert 2 AA batteries, which are required but not included.
- Turn on the LG television, then hold the HOME and RETURN buttons together for 10 seconds to reset the remote.
- Aim the remote at the television and press the Wheel (OK) button until the on-screen pairing confirmation appears.
- If pairing does not complete, turn the television off and back on, then repeat the pairing procedure.
- Use the pointer by moving the remote left or right and use the wheel for scrolling when those functions are supported by the television.
