Verify the original gasket before ordering. This seal has a 0.4-inch short drain nipple and does not fit machines that require a 2-inch extended drain hose. Remove the front of the existing gasket to measure the drain hose length and confirm the match.
When to Replace
Replace the door seal when the washer splashes or leaks water during operation, the door cannot seal correctly, odors remain after cleaning, or abnormal noise occurs during operation. A damaged or deteriorated gasket can also allow moisture to build up around the door.
Installation Tips
- Confirm the replacement drain nipple length against the old gasket before starting.
- Soak the new door seal in warm water before installation. This softens the rubber and helps reduce creasing from storage.
- Use the included work gloves and 383EER4001A spring expansion removal pliers when removing and refitting the retaining spring.
- Clean the sealing surfaces and check that the gasket sits evenly around the door opening before reassembly.
