Compatibility & Fitment
- Compatible with standard Broan and NuTone bathroom ventilation fan housings.
- Fits specific fan models including: 678, 679, 680, 684, 688, 689, 770, 771, HD50, and HD80.
- Designed to fit fan housings measuring approximately 8 inches by 8-1/4 inches.
When to Replace
- The existing plastic cover has severely yellowed, stained, or degraded due to age and continuous heat exposure.
- The mounting springs are stretched, broken, or missing, causing the grille to sag away from the ceiling or vibrate audibly during operation.
- The outer edges or internal plastic louvers are cracked or completely broken off.
- Completing a bathroom renovation and requiring a clean, factory-fresh aesthetic.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect power to the fan at the wall switch before cleaning the housing or installing the new component.
- Take the opportunity to vacuum out accumulated dust, cobwebs, and lint from the fan motor and blower wheel before covering the unit to maximize exhaust efficiency.
- To install, simply squeeze the two prongs of each metal spring together and insert them into the corresponding narrow mounting slots located inside the metal fan housing.
- Push the grille firmly upward until the springs retract and hold the cover completely flush against the ceiling surface.
