This kit includes the air cleaner cover (A232000480), the air filter (13031054130), and the thumbscrew (V299000250) required for installation.
You should replace the cover if the plastic housing is cracked, the mounting tabs are broken, or if the thumbscrew threads are stripped. A damaged cover will not provide a proper seal, allowing dust and debris to bypass the filter and enter the carburetor, which can lead to engine performance issues or premature wear.
No special tools are required. The kit is designed for tool-free installation; you simply unscrew the old thumbscrew by hand, remove the damaged cover and filter, and secure the new components in the same manner.
