7006U 7135U Cad Cell Flame Sensor - Fits Beckett Oil Burners
Key Features
- Cadmium sulfide photocell senses combustion-chamber light and signals the primary control when ignition occurs and the flame remains established.
- 30.315-inch (77 cm) lead length supports routing around the burner housing.
- Copper enclosure maintains its shape near the combustion chamber.
- Operating resistance is 300 to 1,000 ohms while the burner runs, with 1,600 ohms maximum.
- Bench reading is 0 ohms under light and infinite resistance in full darkness.
- High-temperature wire insulation helps guard against current leakage and short circuits. The flexible leads are cadmium-free and soldered for a steady signal path.

Compatibility & Fitment
Fits Beckett oil burner series A, AF, AFG, NX, SR, SF, and RW. This flame sensor is intended for wiring into a cad cell primary control designed for a standard two-lead photocell. Check the number on the existing cad cell and the burner series before ordering.
When to Replace
- The burner fires but drops out after approximately 10 to 30 seconds.
- The system repeatedly enters safety lockout or requires manual resets.
- The cad cell lens appears tan, smoky, or brown.
- Resistance readings do not reach 0 ohms under light or infinite resistance in full darkness during a bench check.
Installation Tips
- Turn off power at the burner service switch and circuit breaker before handling wiring.
- Pull the old cad cell eye from the holder slot.
- Release the old lead wires from the primary control terminals.
- Seat the replacement cad cell in the holder. Bend the bracket slightly only if a tighter fit is needed.
- Connect the new leads to the primary control terminals.
- Before firing the burner, use a multimeter to confirm a 0-ohm reading under light.
The part includes lifetime protection for defects or other product issues.
