When to Replace
Replace the igniter switch when the grill will not start, ignition is delayed, the switch clicks constantly, or the flame is inconsistent and the switch is identified as the cause. Troubleshooting should begin by checking the grill condition, wire connections, and batteries before replacing the ignition switch.
Installation Tips
- Turn off the gas supply and unplug the grill before beginning the repair.
- Wear work gloves and use care during installation.
- Remove the front control panel and unplug the old igniter.
- Reconnect the two wires to the new switch, insert the replacement switch into place, and reinstall the control panel.
- Confirm that the wires are securely connected and that the switch is seated in its snap-fit opening before testing the grill.
