FAQ

This igniter switch is commonly used on Weber GS4 ignition systems found on many Genesis II and Spirit II gas grills, especially 2017 and newer models. Frequently listed fits include Spirit II and Genesis II grills in the 200, 300, 400, and 600 series, with model examples such as E-210, S-210, E-310, S-310, 315, 320, 330, 335, 410, and 435. Because Weber used multiple configurations within these families, match your original switch number and grill model before ordering.
The main replacement number is 66220. Some listings also reference 45010001 in connection with compatible Weber grills, but that number may refer to a grill model rather than the switch itself. The safest match is the 66220 number on your original igniter switch or your grill's parts diagram.
Typical symptoms include the push button no longer clicking, inconsistent spark when pressed, needing repeated pushes to light the burners, or no ignition even though the rest of the ignition system appears connected. If the burner lights normally with a match or manual lighter but not with the button, the switch, battery, wiring, electrode, or ignition module should be checked.
No. This part is the igniter switch/button portion only. It does not replace the entire ignition system by itself. If your grill still will not spark after installing the switch, also inspect the battery, ignition module, wires, grounding points, and electrode tips near the burners.
On most compatible Weber grills, this is a straightforward repair that usually takes about 10 to 20 minutes. Basic hand tools are typically enough, depending on your grill layout. Before starting, remove the battery if equipped, shut off the gas supply, and take a photo of the wire routing so you can reconnect everything correctly.
Before replacing the switch, check the battery orientation and charge, make sure the wire terminals are firmly attached, and inspect the electrode for grease buildup, corrosion, cracks, or an incorrect spark gap. On grills stored outdoors, moisture and corrosion inside the ignition circuit are also common causes of no-spark problems. Cleaning connections and replacing a weak battery can sometimes solve the issue without replacing the switch.
