When to Replace
- Visible damage to the hose, such as cracks, abrasions, or brittleness.
- Gas leaks detected by smell or a soapy water test at connection points or along the hose.
- Inconsistent, low, or sputtering flame from the appliance.
- Yellow or sooty flames instead of a consistent blue flame.
- Regulator adjustment knob is damaged, stuck, or unresponsive.
Installation Tips
- Ensure the propane tank valve is completely closed before installation.
- Hand-tighten the QCC1 connector to the propane tank. Do not use tools on this connection.
- Use an appropriate wrench to secure the 3/8-inch flare fitting to the appliance's inlet for a tight seal.
- If using the NPT adapter, apply sealant tape to the male NPT threads only. Do not use tape on flare fittings.
- After all connections are made, open the tank valve slowly and check all joints for leaks using a soapy water solution before lighting the appliance.
