When to Replace
- Replace a probe when it no longer provides consistent temperature readings or reaches the specified accuracy.
- Replacement is appropriate when the probe tip, cable, plug, or braided wire harness is damaged, corroded, or worn.
- A damaged cable or plug can interrupt the temperature signal and should not be used for cooking.
- The probes are rated to 572°F (300°C); replace any probe exposed to temperatures beyond its rating or showing heat damage.
Installation Tips
- Connect the 2.5mm plug securely to the compatible thermometer or hub before use.
- Use the included probe clips and grommets to hold the probe and wires securely in place.
- Attach the magnetic spool organizers to the grill using the included magnet discs when storing or routing the probes.
- Clean the probe tip with a damp cloth after each use.
- The probe wire and plug are not waterproof; keep them away from water and do not submerge them.
- For precise readings, calibrate the thermometer in a glass of ice water. It should read 32°F (0°C).
- Avoid repeatedly twisting the probe cable, as this can cause breakage.
- Lifetime protection covers defects or other product issues.
