You should inspect your slide shoes regularly for thinning or uneven wear. If the polymer material has worn down to the point where the metal housing of the snow blower auger deck is touching the ground, or if the shoes are cracked or damaged, they must be replaced to prevent permanent damage to your equipment's housing.
