18W 2G11 H-Shaped Replacement Bulbs (Blue Light / Bug Zapper)
Key Features
- Maximum Insect Attraction: Specifically engineered to emit an optimal blue/UV-A light spectrum that acts as a highly effective lure for mosquitoes, gnats, flies, and other light-sensitive flying insects.
- H-Shaped Twin Tube Design: The specialized H-shape (also known as a PLL tube) provides a wider, 360-degree radius of light dispersion, maximizing the effective catch area of your electronic bug zapper.
- Long-Lasting Performance: Built with premium fluorescent gases and durable glass, these bulbs are designed to provide up to 5,000 hours of continuous use, keeping your outdoor spaces bug-free for the entire season.
- Universal 2G11 Fit: Features an industry-standard 2G11 base (four metal pins arranged in a single straight line) that locks securely into compatible high-voltage appliance sockets without wobbling.

Compatibility & Applications
This specialty bulb is the standard replacement for medium-to-large electronic insect killers. Compatible applications include:
- Outdoor Bug Zappers: Fits standard 18W residential and commercial lantern-style mosquito zappers used on patios, decks, and in gardens. (Compatible with popular 18W 4-pin models from brands like AMUFER, Black+Decker, Livin Well, and others).
- Indoor Fly Traps: Ideal for commercial kitchens, restaurants, or garages utilizing wall-mounted UV sticky traps or high-voltage grids.
- Appliance Lighting: Can be used in specific air purifiers or specialized home appliances that specifically call for an 18W 2G11 blue light.
When to Replace
- Decreased Bug Catching (PRO TIP): UV phosphors degrade over time. Even if the bulb is still glowing blue, its invisible UV output drops significantly after 4 to 6 months of nightly use. Replace them seasonally for maximum insect-killing efficiency.
- Flickering or Dark Ends: If the bulb takes a long time to turn on, flickers constantly, or the glass near the plastic base has turned heavily gray or black, the bulb is exhausted and must be replaced.
Installation & Safety Tips
- Safety First (CRITICAL): Bug zappers hold a high-voltage electrical charge. Unplug the device from the wall and use a screwdriver with an insulated handle to short across the internal metal grid to discharge any residual electricity before touching the bulb.
- Check Your Pins: Ensure your current bulb has four pins in a straight line (2G11). Do not confuse this with a G10q (four pins in a square) or a 2G10 (pins in a staggered line).
- Gentle Insertion: Fluorescent tubes are fragile. Hold the bulb by the white plastic base—not the glass tubes—when pushing it into the socket to prevent the glass from shattering in your hands.
- Check the Dimensions: Always measure the length of your old bulb. This replacement is exactly 8.7 inches long. If your fixture is designed for a shorter or longer tube, the outer protective cage may not close.
