When to Replace
Replace the drain plug cap assembly when you notice water leaking from the drain port, a cracked or visibly worn plug, a damaged O-ring, a loose fitting, or continuing water loss after tightening the existing plug. A compromised seal can affect maintenance drainage and filtration system operation.
Installation Tips
- Turn off the pool filtration system power.
- Open the air relief valve at the top of the filter to release pressure.
- Remove the old 190030 drain plug by turning it counterclockwise.
- Align the replacement plug and tighten it clockwise by hand or with a 7/8-inch wrench.
- Restore system operation and inspect the connection for leaks.
