FAQ

This handle is designed for the front driver side of 1999–2007 Chevrolet Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, and Avalanche; GMC Sierra and Yukon Denali; and Cadillac Escalade models.
This handle replaces OEM part number 15034985 and is also compatible with cross-reference number GM1310129.
The most common signs are the handle feeling loose or 'limp' when pulled, the door failing to unlatch despite the handle moving, or visible cracks in the plastic housing. If you hear a snap or feel the internal linkage disconnect while pulling the handle, the internal spring or pivot point has likely failed.
Installation is a moderate task that typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. You will need a socket set (usually 7mm, 10mm, and 13mm sockets), a flat-head screwdriver or trim panel removal tool to pop off the interior door panel clips, and a pick tool to help release the door lock rod clips.
Before fully reassembling the interior door panel, test the handle multiple times to ensure the latch mechanism is engaging correctly and that the lock cylinder moves freely. It is also a good time to lubricate the latch assembly inside the door with a silicone-based spray to ensure smooth operation, as the original grease often dries out over time.
