Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- Direct replacement for pigtail hoses with a 1/4 inch Male NPT regulator fitting and QCC1 tank connection.
- Interchangeable with other 15-inch hoses that share identical connection types and specifications.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Connects standard 5 lb to 40 lb propane cylinders to a two-stage RV regulator.
- Designed for regulators with a 1/4 inch Female NPT inlet port.
- NOTE: This hose uses a 1/4 inch Male NPT fitting. It is not compatible with systems requiring a 1/4 inch inverted flare fitting. Verify your regulator's required connection type before purchase.
When to Replace
- Visible damage such as cracks, brittleness, abrasions, or cuts in the hose material.
- Gas leaks detected at any point on the hose or at the fittings (use a soapy water solution to test).
- Corroded, stripped, or otherwise damaged brass fittings that prevent a secure seal.
- Periodic replacement as part of preventative maintenance, typically every 5-7 years.
Installation Tips
- Ensure the propane tank valve is fully closed before beginning installation.
- Apply thread seal tape to the 1/4 inch Male NPT threads before connecting to the regulator.
- Hand-tighten the QCC1 nut onto the propane tank; do not use tools on this connection.
- Use an appropriate wrench to tighten the 1/4 inch NPT fitting into the regulator. To prevent damage, hold the regulator stationary and turn only the metal hose fitting, not the hose itself.
- After installation is complete, open the tank valve and check all connections for leaks with a soapy water solution before use.
