  • Fits specific models including GMHB and GDHB series.
  • Verify compatibility by checking the part number on your original sensor or in your furnace's service manual.

When to Replace

  • Furnace burners ignite for a few seconds and then shut off.
  • Heating cycle starts but does not complete.
  • Diagnostic codes indicate a flame sense or ignition failure.
  • Existing sensor rod is corroded, cracked, or heavily coated in carbon buildup.

Installation Tips

  • Always disconnect all electrical power to the furnace before servicing.
  • Locate the sensor near the rear burner, typically secured with a single 1/4 inch hex screw.
  • Remove the screw and wire to release the old sensor.
  • Install the new sensor, ensuring the porcelain insulator is intact and the rod does not ground against any metal.
  • Securely fasten the screw and reconnect the wire.
  • Restore power and test the furnace through a full heating cycle.

FAQs

This sensor is designed for a wide range of Goodman, Amana, and Daikin furnace models. It is a direct replacement for part number 0130F00010 and is compatible with systems utilizing part numbers B1172606, B11726-06, 20488501, ACS90453BXA, P1257001F, P1257007F, P1257002F, ACS90703BXA, 2645136, TJFLS013, and AP4513976.
The most common symptom is the furnace burner igniting for a few seconds and then immediately shutting off. This happens because the sensor is unable to detect the flame, causing the control board to cut the gas supply as a safety precaution. If your furnace cycles on and off repeatedly, the sensor is likely dirty or failing.
You can often extend the life of a sensor by gently cleaning the rod with a fine-grit abrasive pad or steel wool to remove carbon buildup. However, if the ceramic insulator is cracked or the metal rod is pitted or corroded, cleaning will not resolve the issue, and the sensor must be replaced.
Replacing the flame sensor is a straightforward task that typically takes 10 to 15 minutes. You will generally only need a 1/4-inch nut driver to remove the single screw holding the sensor in place. Always ensure the power to the furnace is turned off at the breaker before beginning the repair.
Flame sensors operate in a high-heat environment and are constantly exposed to the combustion process. Over time, carbon deposits and oxidation accumulate on the sensor rod, which prevents it from conducting the electrical signal required to verify the flame. Once this layer becomes too thick, the control board can no longer 'see' the flame, leading to system lockout.
