DC97-16350T / DC97-16350U Washer Suspension Rod Kit (26.2") - Pack of 4
Key Features
- Industrial-Grade Dampening: Engineered with heavy-duty steel springs and reinforced plastic shock housings to effectively absorb and neutralize the violent kinetic energy generated during high-speed spin cycles.
- Complete 4-Piece Overhaul: Includes a full set of four (4) pre-assembled 26.2-inch suspension rods, ensuring perfectly balanced tension across the entire wash tub to prevent pulling or leaning.
- Friction-Reducing Design: The pivot points and shock tubes are designed to glide smoothly within their housings, preventing the plastic-on-plastic wear that causes squeaking and sticking over time.
- Prevents Tub Damage: By keeping the heavy stainless steel wash tub centered, these rods prevent the tub from violently striking the outer metal cabinet, protecting the appliance from catastrophic structural damage.
- Direct Drop-In Fitment: Manufactured to exact OEM length specifications (26.2 inches), ensuring the tub hangs at the perfect height for accurate water level sensor readings and proper drainage.

Compatibility & Fitment
This suspension rod kit is a direct replacement for standard and high-efficiency top-load washing machines. Compatible brands include:
- Samsung
- Kenmore
- Sears
When to Replace
- Constant "dc", "UE", or "Ur" Error Codes: The washer constantly stops mid-cycle and flashes an unbalance error code, forcing you to manually redistribute the wet clothing.
- Violent Shaking or "Walking": The washing machine vibrates so aggressively during the spin cycle that it actually moves across the laundry room floor.
- Loud Banging Noises: You hear heavy, repetitive metallic banging sounds as the wash tub slams against the inside of the outer cabinet walls.
- Sagging Tub: When you open the lid and push down on the top of the internal wash tub, it bounces up and down excessively instead of quickly returning to a firm, stable position.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: CRITICAL: Completely unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet and shut off the hot and cold water valves before removing the top panel.
- Replace All Four Simultaneously: PRO TIP: Never replace just one or two rods. Mixing old, stretched springs with new, tight springs will immediately throw the tub off balance and cause the new parts to fail.
- Support the Tub: When unhooking the old rods, the heavy tub will want to drop. Place a small bucket or a sturdy block of wood underneath the center of the tub (above the motor) to support its weight while you swap the rods.
- Apply Grease: Apply a small dab of white lithium grease or silicone plumber's grease to the top and bottom pivot ball cups before seating the new rods. This guarantees silent, friction-free movement.
- Tape the Lid: Before lifting the top control deck of the washer, use tape to secure the glass or metal lid shut so it doesn't flop open and break while you are working inside the cabinet.
