Key Features

  • Dual-Valve System: This set includes both the Cold Water Inlet Valve (DC62-30312J), which features multiple outlets for the detergent dispenser, and the Hot Water Inlet Valve (DC62-30314K).
  • High-Pressure Solenoids: Features heavy-duty electromagnetic coils designed to open and close the valve seats reliably under various residential water pressures.
  • Integrated Debris Screens: Equipped with internal mesh filters at the hose connections to protect the machine from pipe scale, sediment, and sand.
  • Direct-Fit Connectors: Designed with the specific Samsung-style plug housings for a secure electrical connection to the main control board.

Compatibility & Fitment

This valve set is primarily designed for Samsung and Kenmore washing machines. Key compatible series include:

  • Samsung Front-Loaders: WF210, WF330, WF350, WF410, WF42H, and WF45H series.
  • Samsung Top-Loaders: WA400, WA456, WA45H, and WA50F series.
  • Kenmore / Sears: Various 592-series models (e.g., 592.49075, 592.49107) manufactured by Samsung.

When to Replace

  • No Water Flow: The machine displays an "4E" or "nF" error code (No Fill), and water does not enter the tub despite the faucets being open.
  • Slow Filling: Mineral buildup in the internal screens or a partially failing solenoid restricts water flow, causing "Long Fill" errors.
  • Constant Leaking: Water trickles into the drum while the machine is off, indicating the internal valve seat is not sealing properly.
  • Incorrect Temperatures: The washer only fills with hot or cold water regardless of the cycle setting, suggesting one of the solenoids has burnt out.

Installation Tips

  • Safety First: Disconnect the power cord and turn off the water supply valves. Keep a bucket and towel nearby to catch residual water in the hoses.
  • Terminal Mapping: The cold valve often has multiple solenoids for different dispenser compartments. Label the wires before removing them to ensure bleach, softener, and wash cycles function correctly after the repair.
  • Avoid Overtightening: Screw the supply hoses onto the plastic threads by hand until snug, then use pliers to tighten an additional 1/4 turn. Overtightening can crack the valve housing.
  • Flush the Hoses: Before connecting to the new valves, run the water hoses into a bucket for a few seconds to clear out any sediment that could immediately clog the new filters.

FAQ

This set is compatible with a wide range of Samsung and Kenmore washing machines. Common compatible models include, but are not limited to, the WF306BHW, WF306LAW, WF316BAC, WF316BAW, WF316LAS, WF316LAW, WF42H5000AW, WF210ANW, WF203ANS, WF203ANW, WF206ANS, WF219ANB, and WF361BVBEWR series.
This set directly replaces several OEM part numbers. The cold water valve (DC62-30312J) replaces DC62-30312H, 2070376, AP4204532, PS4209090, WV0312J, WV1151, WP34001151, 34001151, 1067883, and AP6008403. The hot water valve (DC62-30314K) replaces DC62-30314H, 1810145, AP4204535, PS4209100, WV0314K, and 34001131.
A faulty inlet valve typically presents as the washer failing to fill with water, filling very slowly, or continuing to fill even when the machine is powered off. You may also notice leaking from the back of the machine or error codes related to water level sensing.
You will generally need a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the washer's top panel and a pair of pliers to release the hose clamps and tighten the water supply connections. Depending on your specific model, a nut driver may also be useful for accessing the rear panel screws.
First, ensure the power is disconnected and the water supply faucets are turned off. Remove the top panel of the washer to access the valve assembly at the rear. Use pliers to remove the retaining clamps from the internal hoses, disconnect the electrical wire harnesses, and unscrew the valve from the rear housing. Install the new valves in reverse order, ensuring the hoses are securely clamped to prevent leaks.
When reconnecting the external water supply lines, hand-tighten the couplings first, then use pliers to tighten them an additional two-thirds of a turn. Always inspect the rubber gaskets inside the hose ends for cracks or debris before reattaching them to the new valves; replacing old, worn-out gaskets is a simple way to prevent future drips.
