Installation Tips

  • Remove old grips carefully; a utility knife may be required to cut them off.
  • Thoroughly clean the handlebar and throttle tube surfaces of any old adhesive or residue.
  • To ease installation, use a small amount of grip glue or isopropyl alcohol as a lubricant.
  • Slide grips on completely. Ensure the right-side grip does not interfere with throttle operation.
  • Allow any adhesive to cure fully as per the manufacturer's instructions before riding.

FAQs

These grips are designed for standard 7/8-inch (22mm) handlebars. The set includes a 22mm inner diameter grip for the left side and a slightly larger 24mm inner diameter grip for the right side to accommodate the throttle tube.
Most metric cruisers, sportbikes, and standard motorcycles utilize 7/8-inch (22mm) bars. You can confirm this by measuring the diameter of your handlebar at the point where the controls mount. If your bike uses 1-inch handlebars, these grips will not fit.
If you are not planning to reuse your old grips, the easiest method is to carefully slice them off with a utility knife. If you want to save them, you can use a flat-head screwdriver to gently pry up the edge and spray compressed air or a small amount of soapy water underneath to break the seal.
While these grips are designed for a snug fit, using a dedicated grip glue is recommended to prevent them from twisting or sliding during operation. Ensure the handlebar surface is clean, dry, and free of old adhesive residue before applying new glue.
The right-side grip is manufactured with a 24mm inner diameter to slide over the plastic throttle tube. The left-side grip is 22mm to provide a tight, secure fit directly onto the metal handlebar.
