FAQs

This belt is compatible with a wide range of dryers manufactured by Whirlpool, Kenmore, Maytag, Amana, and Crosley. It fits many standard-sized dryers that utilize a 93.5-inch belt, including specific models such as WED94HEXW0 and WED94HEXW1.
This belt replaces OEM part numbers 661570, 661570V, 3387610, 3389728, 3393999, 339728, 4248258, WP40111201, 511255P, 14218936, 40051502, 511255, LB254, 510178, AP5983729, EAP382430, and PS11722115.
The most common symptom is that the dryer motor runs, but the drum does not rotate. You may also hear a thumping or squealing noise during the cycle, or notice that the dryer stops mid-cycle. If the drum feels loose or spins too freely by hand, the belt has likely snapped or slipped off the pulley.
While replacing the belt, it is highly recommended to inspect the drum support rollers and the idler pulley assembly (such as part W10837240 or 279640). If the rollers are worn or the idler pulley does not spin freely, they can cause excessive friction, which will lead to premature failure of your new belt.
Replacing the belt is a moderate repair that typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. You will need basic hand tools, including a screwdriver and a putty knife to release the clips on the dryer cabinet. Because you must remove the front or top panel to access the drum, ensure the dryer is unplugged from the power source before beginning.
