349241T Dryer Rear Drum Support Roller Kit
Key Features
- Self-Lubricating Bronze Bearings: Engineered with high-quality, oil-impregnated bronze center bearings that provide a smooth, friction-free spin without the need for messy external greases that attract lint and debris.
- Heavy-Duty Rubber Compound: The outer wheels are manufactured from a high-density, heat-resistant polymer rubber that absorbs shock and prevents the "flat-spotting" that causes heavy thumping noises during operation.
- Restores Drum Alignment: Re-establishes the correct height and balance of the heavy metal drum, closing the gap at the front bulkhead to prevent delicate clothing from getting caught, pinched, or torn during a cycle.
- Extended Lifespan: Precision-machined to exact OEM tolerances to ensure the wheels spin perfectly true on the support shafts, drastically reducing wear on the dryer's drive motor and belt.

When to Replace
- Loud Thumping or Rumbling: The most common symptom. If your dryer sounds like there is a pair of heavy sneakers tumbling inside even when it's empty, the rubber on the old rollers has worn down or flattened out.
- High-Pitched Squeaking: A continuous metal-on-metal squeak or chirp indicates that the internal bronze bearings have completely dried out or seized on the metal support shaft.
- Clothes Getting Pinched: If you find garments with brown scorch marks or tears, the worn rollers are allowing the drum to sag, creating a gap where clothes get trapped against the heating housing.
- Motor Hums but Drum Won't Turn: If the rollers completely seize, the drive motor will not have enough torque to overcome the friction, resulting in a humming sound and a potential burned-out belt.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: CRITICAL: Disconnect the dryer from its electrical power source before opening the cabinet.
- No Lubrication Allowed: PRO TIP: Do NOT apply WD-40, grease, oil, or silicone spray to the roller shafts. The bronze bearings are self-lubricating. Adding liquid lubricants will attract a thick paste of lint and dust, causing the new wheels to seize within weeks.
- Clean the Shafts Thoroughly: Before sliding the new rollers on, use rubbing alcohol and a coarse scouring pad (like Scotch-Brite) to scrub the metal mounting shafts until they are perfectly smooth and shiny. Any leftover rubber residue will ruin the new bearings.
- Replace in Pairs: Always replace both rear rollers at the exact same time, even if only one appears damaged. Mixing a new wheel with an old wheel will throw the drum off-balance and cause the new part to fail prematurely.
- Handling the Tri-Rings: The small plastic tri-rings holding the wheels on can be stubborn. Use a small flathead screwdriver to gently pry them off the groove. Do not worry about breaking the old ones, as your kit includes four fresh replacements.
