Compatibility & Fitment
This kit fits select Mazda vehicles with compatible 2.0L or 2.5L naturally aspirated engines:
- Mazda 3 and Mazda 3 Sport, 2014–2018.
- Mazda 6, 2014–2021.
- Mazda CX-5, 2013–2025.
Verify the vehicle year, model, engine, and original filter numbers before ordering. The listed applications are not exhaustive, and fitment can vary within the same model year.
When to Replace
Replace the filters when the recommended maintenance interval is reached or when inspection shows excessive dirt, clogging, or damage. A restricted engine filter can reduce airflow to the engine, while a clogged cabin filter can reduce HVAC airflow and affect interior air quality. A general replacement interval is every 12,000–15,000 miles or every 12 months, subject to the vehicle manufacturer's maintenance schedule and driving conditions.
Installation Tips
- Confirm the replacement numbers and filter dimensions against the removed filters before installation.
- Switch off the vehicle and open the appropriate air-filter or HVAC filter housing according to the vehicle service instructions.
- Clean loose debris from the housing without allowing dirt to enter the intake or HVAC duct.
- Install each filter in the airflow direction marked on the filter or housing, then ensure the cover is fully secured.
- Both filters are routine maintenance items and can normally be replaced with basic hand tools; allow approximately 15–30 minutes for the pair, depending on vehicle access.
