1. Remove the Old Bathtub Drain Fitting
Use the tub drain wrench to remove the drain fitting from the drain shoe then clean the tub drain opening. Note: Some tubs may have a strainer grid that must be removed first to access the drain fitting.
2. Install the New Drain Fitting
Use the old fitting to determine the size of your drain, using thread attachment if needed, then insert the fitting into the bathtub drain opening, tighten by using the tub drain wrench.
