  • Leakproof gas transmission
  • 150% hose durability
  • Resistance to corrosion from harsh weather conditions

When to Replace

  • Visible cracking, abrasions, or brittleness on the hose exterior.
  • Persistent smell of gas near connections after the tank valve is opened.
  • Inconsistent or low flame, or burners that will not stay lit.
  • Flames are yellow or produce soot instead of being primarily blue.
  • Regulator produces a humming or whistling noise during operation.

Installation Tips

  • Ensure the propane tank valve is completely closed before starting.
  • Hand-tighten the QCC1 fitting onto the propane tank until secure. Do not use tools.
  • Use an appropriate wrench to tighten the 3/8-inch flare nut onto the appliance's gas inlet.
  • After connecting, perform a leak test by applying a soapy water solution to all connections.
  • Open the tank valve and look for bubbles, which indicate a leak. If bubbles form, turn off the gas and retighten the connection.

FAQ

It is intended for propane-fired outdoor appliances such as gas grills, patio heaters, fire pits, camp stoves, and similar LP equipment, as long as the tank connection and appliance-side fitting match your existing setup. Before ordering, compare both ends of your current hose and regulator assembly to confirm compatibility.
Common signs include weak or uneven flame, burners that will not reach normal heat, sudden flame drop after startup, a propane smell near the hose, visible cracking or stiffness in the hose, regulator freezing, or a connection that no longer seals properly. If the appliance itself is otherwise clean and the tank is full, the regulator and hose assembly is a common part to inspect.
It can if the issue is caused by a failing regulator, restricted hose, or leaking connection. However, low heat can also be caused by clogged burner ports, a tripped regulator safety feature, low fuel level, or appliance-side valve problems. It is a good idea to reset the propane system, check for leaks, and clean the burners before replacing parts.
Installation is usually straightforward and often takes about 10 to 20 minutes. In most cases, you disconnect the old assembly from the propane tank and appliance, then attach the new one and perform a leak test. Adjustable wrenches may be needed depending on the appliance-side fitting. Do not use thread sealant unless the appliance connection specifically requires it.
Make sure the propane tank valve is fully closed before installation. After connecting the new regulator and hose, slowly open the tank valve and check all connections with a soap-and-water leak solution. If bubbles form, close the valve and retighten the connection before testing again. Only light the appliance after confirming there are no leaks.
They commonly wear out from sun exposure, heat, weather, repeated bending, internal diaphragm wear, contamination from oil or debris in the fuel system, and corrosion at the fittings. On grills and heaters stored outdoors, UV exposure and temperature swings are especially common causes of hose cracking and regulator problems.
Yes. Inspect the burner tubes, control valves, manifold, and tank connection for rust, spider webs, grease buildup, or damage. Also check that the propane tank is in good condition and that the appliance ignition system is working correctly. Replacing only the regulator and hose will not solve performance or safety issues caused by blocked burners or leaking appliance components.
