It also replaces parts for models R71 (RV700_N), R72 (RV720_N, RV725_N), R75 (RV750_N, RV755_N), R76 (RV761), R77 (RV771), R85 (RV850, RV850BRN, RV850C), R87 (RV871, RV871C), S86 (RV850WV), S87 (RV851WV), S88 (RV860WVC), AV751, AV752, AV753, UR1005AE, RV1001AE, RV1001, and RV1101ARUS. Because Shark model families can vary by suffix, please match your original filter number and vacuum model before ordering.
This filter replaces part number RVFFK950 and is also compatible with part number 1172FK870.
Common signs include reduced suction, dust or fine debris blowing back out, a musty odor, the dust bin area clogging more quickly, or the robot struggling to maintain normal pickup on floors it previously cleaned well. If the filter looks dark, packed with fine dust, or no longer cleans up well after tapping it out, replacement is the best solution.
For this filter style, it is best to follow the manufacturer's care instructions for your specific robot model. In most cases, gently tapping out loose dust is safer than aggressive washing. If a filter is heavily loaded with fine dust, pet dander, or odors, replacement is more effective than attempting to wash and restore it.
Replacement is simple and typically takes 1 to 3 minutes without the need for tools. Remove the dust bin, open the filter compartment, take out the old filter, clear any packed dust from the housing, and install the new filter in the same orientation. Ensure the filter sits flat and the bin closes completely to maintain proper airflow.
Fine household dust, pet dander, litter dust, carpet fibers, and cooking residue can load the filter quickly, especially in homes with pets or high foot traffic. If the robot is operated with an overfilled dust bin, a tangled brushroll, or a dirty intake path, the filter may plug faster due to restricted airflow.
Empty and clean the dust bin, inspect the filter cavity for packed debris, and check the brushroll and intake channel for hair or clogs. If airflow problems persist after changing the filter, inspect the side brush area, wheel wells, and any accessible internal air passages. Replacing the filter is most effective when the rest of the vacuum's airflow path is clean.
