Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • General purpose component for applications requiring a 6-position terminal block with 600V 25A rating.
  • Functionally equivalent to standard 2500 series or TB-2506 terminal blocks. Verify dimensions and electrical specifications for direct replacement.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Accepts wire gauges from 22 AWG to 12 AWG.
  • Mounting: Two #10 (M5) screw holes for secure panel mounting.
  • Suitable for use in power distribution, industrial controls, HVAC systems, automotive wiring, and electronic circuit projects.

When to Replace

  • During new installations or system upgrades.
  • If the existing block shows signs of physical damage such as a cracked housing or stripped screw heads.
  • Visible corrosion or signs of overheating, including discoloration of the plastic housing or terminals.
  • To resolve intermittent electrical connections or voltage drops at the connection point.

Installation Tips

  • Ensure all power is disconnected from the circuit before installation or service.
  • Strip approximately 0.25 inches (6-7mm) of insulation from the wire ends.
  • Securely tighten terminal screws to ensure a solid electrical connection, but avoid over-torquing.
  • Use the pre-insulated barrier strip to jump adjacent terminals as required by your circuit design.
  • Place the transparent cover over the terminals after wiring is complete to prevent accidental contact.

FAQ

The 6-position terminal blocks are rated for 600V and 25A, while the included pre-insulated barrier strips are rated for 400V and 25A. These are suitable for a wide range of industrial and household wiring applications where secure, organized connections are required.
The clear plastic covers provide essential protection against accidental contact with live terminals and help prevent dust, debris, or moisture from entering the connection points. They snap securely into place and can be easily removed for maintenance or wiring adjustments.
These blocks are designed to accommodate standard stranded or solid copper wire. Ensure that the wire gauge is appropriate for the 25A current rating to prevent overheating. It is recommended to use ferrules or spade terminals for a more secure and reliable connection when using stranded wire.
Each terminal block features mounting holes at both ends, allowing you to screw them directly onto a panel, chassis, or enclosure base. Ensure the mounting surface is flat and stable to prevent vibration from loosening the connections over time.
You should replace your terminal strip if you notice signs of melting, discoloration due to heat, cracked plastic housing, or stripped screw threads that no longer hold the wire securely. If you detect intermittent power or arcing, inspect the terminals immediately for corrosion or loose connections.
While these are standard barrier strips, they are best suited for stationary equipment. If installing in an environment with significant vibration, it is highly recommended to use thread-locking compound on the mounting screws and to ensure that all terminal screws are tightened firmly during installation to prevent them from backing out.
