Consider replacing the igniter if the appliance exhibits the following symptoms:

Oven fails to heat: The oven shows "On" but no heat is generated.
Igniter glows but no flame: The glow bar turns orange/red but fails to draw enough amperage to open the gas valve.
Slow ignition: The oven takes significantly longer than usual to reach the set temperature.
Physical damage: The heating element is cracked, blistered, or broken.

Installation Tips

Disconnect Power: Always unplug the range or flip the circuit breaker before servicing.
Shut Off Gas: Ensure the gas supply valve is turned off.
Handle with Care: The glowing element is extremely fragile. Do not touch the grey element portion with bare fingers, as body oils can create hot spots and shorten part life.
Verify Wiring: If the connector does not match your existing harness, use ceramic wire nuts to splice the new igniter wires to the existing range wiring.
