This hose is intended to connect an RV low-pressure quick-connect propane outlet to compatible low-pressure grills or griddles, including 17-inch and 22-inch Blackstone grills/griddles that can accept this style of connection. It is designed for RV-to-grill use, not for appliances that require a high-pressure regulator at the appliance.
It fits Blackstone 17-inch and 22-inch units only if the griddle is set up to run from an RV low-pressure propane supply through a quick-connect hose. Before ordering, confirm your griddle's inlet connection and whether its original regulator must be bypassed or removed for low-pressure RV use. If the appliance is still configured only for a disposable bottle or a high-pressure regulator setup, this hose may not connect or operate correctly without the proper conversion parts.
This product is described as an RV quick-connect low-pressure hose, so it is meant for an RV propane system that already regulates gas pressure. It is generally not the correct direct connection for a standard 20 lb tank unless the tank setup already includes the proper regulator and matching fittings. A grill connected to unregulated tank pressure can operate unsafely or improperly.
The elbow adapter helps route the hose at an angle instead of forcing a sharp bend straight out from the appliance connection. That can reduce strain on the fitting, improve hose routing in tight spaces, and help the hose sit more naturally when connected between the RV and the grill.
Replace the hose if you notice propane odor, cracking in the outer rubber, damaged quick-connect ends, difficulty locking the connector in place, kinks that do not relax, or bubbling during a soap-and-water leak test. Poor burner performance can also point to a hose or connection problem, although low flame can also be caused by regulator, valve, or burner issues.
Turn off the RV propane supply and make sure all appliance valves are off before connecting the hose. Attach the quick-connect end fully to the RV outlet, connect the other end to the grill fitting, and ensure both sides are secure. After connection, slowly restore propane flow and test all joints with a soap-and-water solution. If bubbles form, shut the gas off and correct the leak before use. Avoid using thread sealant on fittings that are designed to seal without it unless your appliance manufacturer specifically calls for it.
The most common reason is pressure mismatch. RV quick-connect ports usually supply low-pressure propane after the RV regulator, while some portable grills are designed to use a bottle-mounted regulator or another high-pressure arrangement. If the grill still has its original regulator in the gas path, it may not get the correct flow. Also check for a partially engaged quick connect, closed shutoff valve, clogged burner orifices, or air trapped in the line during first startup.
