100 lb Propane Tank Adapter, POL Propane Gauge for 100 lb Propane Tank, Converts POL LP Tank Service Valve to QCC1/Type 1
Key Features
- Converts older POL (Prest-O-Lite) male tank valves to the newer QCC1/Type 1 female connection standard.
- Provides dual POL (internal thread) and QCC1/Type 1 (external thread) outputs for broad compatibility.
- Integrated, color-coded pressure gauge allows for monitoring of the propane tank's remaining fuel level.
- Constructed from solid brass for durability and corrosion resistance.
- Features built-in safety mechanisms for over-flow and thermal protection.
- Enables tool-free, hand-tightened installation for a secure, leak-free connection.
Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers
- This is a universal adapter, not a direct replacement for a specific manufacturer part number. It is designed to bridge the connection between POL tank valves and QCC1/Type 1 hoses and regulators.
Compatibility & Fitment
- Input Connection:POL (CGA 510) Male Connector
- Output Connections:QCC1/Type 1 (Acme Nut) Male Connector and POL Female Connector
- Tank Fitment:Designed for standard 5 lb to 100 lb propane cylinders equipped with POL service valves.
- Appliance Fitment:Connects to hoses and regulators used with gas grills, RVs, heaters, smokers, and other propane appliances requiring a QCC1/Type 1 connection.
When to Replace
- Install this adapter to connect modern QCC1/Type 1 appliances to an older propane tank with a POL valve.
- Use to add a visual fuel gauge to a tank system that does not have one.
- Replace any existing adapter if the gauge becomes inaccurate, if threads are stripped, or if physical damage like cracks or heavy corrosion is visible.
- Replace immediately if a gas leak is detected from the adapter body or its seals after tightening.
Installation Tips
- Before installation, ensure the propane tank's service valve is fully closed.
- Thread the adapter's male POL fitting into the tank valve and hand-tighten until snug. Do not use tools, as over-tightening can damage the O-ring seal.
- Securely attach your appliance's QCC1/Type 1 hose to the adapter's external threads.
- After all connections are made, slowly open the tank valve and check for leaks at all connection points using a soapy water solution.
- Note: The pressure gauge reading is affected by ambient temperature. For the most accurate indication of fuel level, check the gauge while the appliance is in operation.
