  • Remove the screw and wire to release the old sensor.
  • Install the new sensor, ensuring the porcelain insulator is intact and the rod does not ground against any metal.
  • Securely fasten the screw and reconnect the wire.
  • Restore power and test the furnace through a full heating cycle.

1. Turn off furnace power, close gas valve, and remove the front panel. Then locate the flame sensor & Disconnect the wire; 2. Uncrew and remove the old flame sensor & Install the new one, secure it into place, and reconnect wire; 3. Reattach the panel, open gas valve and turn power back on. *Note: Use work gloves during installation for safety. Avoid touching the metal rod part as oils from your skin can cause carbon buildup and premature failure, hold it only by the ceramic base.
