Compatibility & Fitment
This water inlet valve is specifically designed for Samsung high-efficiency top-load washing machines. Key compatible models include:
- WA45H Series: WA45H7000AW, WA45H7000AP, WA45H7200AW.
- WA48H Series: WA48H7400AW, WA48H7400AP.
- WA50F Series: WA50F9A6DSW, WA50F9A7DSW, WA50F9A8DSP.
- WA52J Series: WA52J8700AW, WA52J8705AW.
When to Replace
- No Fill / Error Codes: The machine displays an "4C" or "nF" error code, and water fails to enter the tub despite the faucets being turned on.
- Detergent Not Dispensing: Water flows into the tub, but the bleach or fabric softener compartments remain full, indicating a specific failed solenoid on the manifold.
- Water Leaks: Water continues to trickle into the drum when the machine is turned off, which can lead to overfilling or a flooded laundry room.
- Vibrating/Humming Noise: A loud buzzing or vibrating sound during the fill cycle, often caused by a failing electromagnetic coil.
- Slow Filling: The internal screens are clogged with mineral deposits, causing the machine to take an excessively long time to fill.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: Unplug the washer from the electrical outlet and shut off both the hot and cold water supply valves before beginning.
- Console Access: For these top-load models, you will typically need to remove the screws at the back of the top console and tilt it forward or remove the top panel to reach the valve.
- Hose Identification: Before disconnecting the internal rubber hoses from the valve manifold, label them (e.g., Pre-wash, Main, Bleach, Softener) to ensure they are reconnected to the correct ports.
- Electrical Plugs: Samsung uses color-coded or keyed connectors; ensure each wiring harness is snapped firmly onto the corresponding solenoid.
- Flush the Lines: Briefly run water through your external supply hoses into a bucket before connecting them to the new valve to clear out any debris.
