DC47-00019A Dryer Heating Element & Complete Sensor Safety Kit for Samsung
Key Features
- Full Kit Set: 1 x DC47-00019A Dryer Heating Element, 1 x DC47-00018A Dryer Thermostat, 1 x DC96-00887A Dryer Thermal Fuse (Bracket), 1 x DC47-00016A Dryer Thermal Fuse (In-Line), 1 x DC32-00007A Dryer Thermistor.
- High-Efficiency Ni-Cr Coil: The DC47-00019A element features an upgraded Nickel-Chromium alloy coil with 25% more surface area for faster heat-up times and increased thermal durability.
- Comprehensive 5-Piece Overhaul: This all-in-one kit provides a total system refresh, including the heating element, high-limit thermostat, two distinct safety fuses, and the critical temperature-sensing thermistor.
- DC32-00007A Precision Thermistor: Includes the high-accuracy temperature sensor that monitors internal drum heat and communicates directly with the control board to prevent over-drying and fabric damage.
- Quad-Layer Thermal Protection: Features a multi-stage safety net with the DC47-00018A thermostat and dual thermal fuses (DC96-00887A and DC47-00016A) to protect against lint-fire hazards.
- Enhanced Ceramic Insulators: Built with high-density ceramic standoffs that prevent the heating coil from sagging or shorting against the metal heater housing during high-heat cycles.

Compatibility & Fitment
This kit is the primary heating and sensor repair solution for Samsung high-capacity electric dryers. Key compatible models include:
- Samsung DVE Series: DVE50R5200W/A3, DVE50R5400V/A3, DVE45R6100W, DVE45R6100C.
- Samsung DV42/DV45 Series: DV42H5200EP/A3, DV42H5000EW/A3, DV42H5200EW/A3, DV42H5200EF/A3, DV45H7000EW/A2.
- Samsung DV40 Series: DV40J3000EW/A2, DV400EWHDWR/AA.
- Note: Specifically for Electric dryers. If you have a gas model (DLG), this heating element will not be compatible.
When to Replace
- No Heat / Cold Drum: The dryer spins normally but the air remains cold, usually indicating a snapped heating coil or a blown thermal fuse.
- "HE" Error Code: Modern Samsung dryers often display an "HE" or "HC" error code when the thermistor (DC32-00007A) or heating element fails.
- Dryer Shuts Down Mid-Cycle: One of the safety fuses has tripped due to excessive internal heat, often caused by a restricted exhaust vent.
- Inaccurate Drying Times: A faulty thermistor can cause the dryer to run for hours without stopping or shut off while clothes are still damp.
- Tripped Circuit Breaker: A grounded heating element can cause the dryer to trip your home’s 240V circuit breaker immediately when the heat cycle starts.
Installation Tips
- Safety First: You MUST unplug the dryer from the 240V power outlet before beginning. Testing a live heating element is extremely dangerous.
- The Blower Housing: The thermistor and the DC47-00016A thermal fuse are located on the blower housing, while the other components are located on the heater box. Be prepared to access both areas.
- Clean the Vent Line: Before installing the new element, professionally clean your dryer's exhaust duct. 90% of heating failures are caused by lint buildup restricting airflow.
- Vacuum the Cabinet: While the dryer is open, vacuum out all accumulated lint from the bottom of the cabinet to prevent a fire hazard for your new parts.
- Check the Terminals: Ensure the wire connectors are tight. Loose or corroded spade connectors create high resistance, which can melt the new thermostat or thermal fuse.
