FAQ

This kit is designed for Polaris pressure-side pool cleaners including the 3900 Sport, 380, 360, 280, and 180. It is also compatible with the Polaris 480 PRO, 280 TankTrax, and Black Max models that use the same sweep hose scrubber style. Because Polaris cleaners can have model variations, match the cleaner model and existing part numbers before ordering.
This kit covers part numbers TSP10S and 9-100-3105. The sweep hose scrubber also cross-references to part number R0522400.
The sweep hose scrubber fits on the sweep tail and acts as the wear tip that contacts pool surfaces. Its job is to help the sweep tail agitate debris and lightly scrub while protecting the tail end from faster wear. When the scrubber wears down, the sweep tail can become less effective and may mark or whip surfaces more aggressively.
Common signs include a scrubber that is split, loose, flattened, missing, or worn thin at the end of the sweep hose. You may also notice the tail no longer sweeps debris effectively, the cleaner leaves more debris behind, or the tail end starts scuffing against surfaces instead of gliding on the scrubber.
Installation is simple and takes only a few minutes, typically requiring no tools. Turn off the pool cleaner, remove the old scrubber from the sweep tail, and slide the new scrubber into place. If you are also installing the TSP10S Tail Sweep Pro, attach it to the tail according to the cleaner's sweep-tail layout and ensure it is seated securely before restarting the cleaner.
Fast scrubber wear often points to operating conditions rather than the scrubber quality. Check for excessive water pressure to the cleaner, a sweep tail that constantly slaps the deck or walls, brittle or misrouted hose sections, and worn tail components that allow the hose to whip too hard. On pressure-side Polaris cleaners, keeping the tail motion controlled helps extend scrubber life.
