FAQ

The D10 feed hose float is designed for use on several Zodiac Polaris pressure-side cleaners, including the Polaris 180, 280, 380, 3900, 480, and 380 BlackMax models. It is also compatible with the Quattro P40, Quattro Sport, Polaris 280 TankTrax, and Baracuda/Letro cleaner families, such as the Legend, Platinum, and Mars. Because cleaner revisions can vary, please match your existing float and confirm your model uses part D10 before ordering.
The feed hose float keeps the hose buoyant, ensuring it stays elevated and out of the cleaner's path. This reduces hose drag, helps prevent tangling, and limits unnecessary rubbing and wear on the hose as the pressure cleaner moves around the pool.
This part replaces part number D10, which is also written as D-10. Both references point to the same feed hose float part family.
Common signs include the feed hose sinking lower than normal, the cleaner tangling more often, reduced movement efficiency, or floats that are cracked, waterlogged, split, loose, or missing. If the hose starts dragging on the pool surface or interfering with the cleaner's travel path, worn floats are a likely cause.
Installation is simple and typically takes only a few minutes without the need for special tools. Turn off the pool pump and booster pump, remove pressure from the hose, slide the old float off, and install the new float in the same location on the feed hose. If the hose or nearby connectors are stiff from age, inspect them for cracking while the float is off.
Check the full feed hose for abrasion, stiffness, leaks, and worn hose nuts or swivels. If the cleaner has been tangling or not tracking correctly, inspect the hose length and float placement to ensure they match your cleaner's specific setup. Replacing damaged floats without correcting hose wear or incorrect float positioning may not fully resolve hose-drag problems.
