FAQ

This splitter is designed for use with standard propane tanks featuring QCC1 (Type 1) or POL connections. It is compatible with most common BBQ grill tanks, RV tanks, and portable heater cylinders.
You should consider a replacement if you notice a hissing sound near the connection, if the integrated gauge consistently provides inaccurate readings, or if the shut-off valves become stiff, leak, or fail to stop the flow of gas completely.
The color-coded gauge provides a general estimate of the pressure remaining in your tank. The red zone indicates low pressure, yellow indicates the tank is getting low, and green indicates a sufficient level of propane. Note that the gauge measures pressure, which can fluctuate based on the ambient temperature.
No tools are required. The adapter features hand-tighten knobs for both the tank connection and the appliance hoses. Ensure all connections are tightened firmly by hand to create a secure seal.
Individual shut-off valves allow you to isolate one appliance without disconnecting the entire setup. This is particularly useful if you are running a grill and a portable heater simultaneously and need to perform maintenance or swap out one device while keeping the other operational.
Always ensure the valves on the splitter are in the 'off' position before connecting them to your propane tank. Once installed, it is best practice to perform a leak test by applying a soapy water solution to the connections and checking for bubbles when the gas is turned on.
