Please note that while the stainless steel probe is waterproof, the cable and junction point are intended for environmental monitoring and should be protected from direct, prolonged submersion in corrosive liquids.
These sensors utilize a 1-Wire interface, requiring only one digital pin for data communication. You will need a 4.7k ohm pull-up resistor connected between the VCC (red wire) and the Data (yellow wire) lines. The black wire is for Ground.
Yes. Because each DS18B20 sensor has a unique 64-bit serial code, you can connect multiple sensors in parallel to a single digital pin on your microcontroller, such as an Arduino or ESP32, and address each one individually.
If you are receiving a reading of -127°C or 85°C, this usually indicates a communication error. Check your wiring for loose connections, ensure your pull-up resistor is correctly installed, and verify that the data line is not experiencing excessive signal interference.
