1/32" Stainless Steel Wire Rope & Crimping Kit (200FT)
Key Features
- 7x7 Strand Core Construction: Features seven groups of seven wires braided together, providing an optimal balance of flexibility and high tensile strength for intricate rigging tasks.
- Marine-Grade Stainless Steel: Manufactured from high-quality steel to ensure superior resistance to rust, oxidation, and weathering, making it ideal for permanent outdoor installations.
- Ultra-Fine 1/32" Diameter: The slim profile offers a "near-invisible" aesthetic, perfect for modern deck railings, art displays, and subtle garden trellises where you want to maintain a clear view.
- Aluminum Crimping Sleeves Included: Comes with 50 pieces of soft aluminum double-barrel ferrules, allowing for secure loop-making and permanent end-stops without the need for specialized knots.
- High Breaking Strength: Despite its small diameter, the 7x7 braid provides a reliable weight-bearing capacity for string lights, bird feeders, and light-duty architectural rigging.
Technical Specifications
- Total Length: 200 Feet (61 Meters)
- Cable Diameter: 1/32 Inch (0.8mm)

Common Applications
This versatile kit is designed for a wide range of light-duty DIY and professional rigging projects:
- Outdoor Decor: Hanging heavy-duty string lights (Bistro/Global lights), wind chimes, and sunshades.
- Garden & Landscaping: Creating "invisible" garden trellises for climbing plants, vines, and espalier fruit trees.
- Interior Design: Suspending picture frames, mirrors, signage, and decorative art installations.
- Safety & Utility: Securing pet leads, bird feeders, or creating lightweight safety tethers for equipment.
- Railing Infills: Used as horizontal infill for modern deck and stair railings where a minimalist look is desired.
When to Use This Specific Size
- Max Visibility Needed: Choose 1/32" when you want the cable to "disappear" into the background (unlike 1/8" or 3/16" cables which are much more prominent).
- Tight Bends: The 7x7 construction at this diameter is highly flexible and can be wrapped around small diameters without kinking.
- Precision Work: Ideal for projects that require threading through small jewelry-sized holes or delicate hardware.
Installation Tips
- The Right Tool: For a secure connection, use a Wire Rope Swaging Tool (Crimper) to compress the aluminum sleeves. Pliers are generally insufficient and may lead to the cable slipping under load.
- Cut Cleanly: Use high-quality bypass wire rope cutters to prevent the 7x7 strands from "fraying" or "mushrooming" at the end, which makes threading through the sleeves much easier.
- Double Up: For safety-critical applications, use two aluminum sleeves at each termination point to ensure the cable cannot pull through under tension.
- Tensioning: If using for string lights or railing, consider adding a Turnbuckle to one end of the run. Stainless steel cable does not stretch much, so a turnbuckle allows you to remove the "sag" easily.
- Protect the Finish: If using aluminum sleeves with stainless steel wire in a salt-air environment, apply a small dab of clear silicone or marine grease to the crimp to prevent galvanic corrosion between the two different metals.
