- No spark at the spark plug.
- Engine runs rough, misfires, or stalls.
- Noticeable loss of power during operation.
Installation Tips
- Disconnect the spark plug boot and kill switch wire from the old coil.
- Clean the coil and flywheel mounting surfaces before installation.
- Install the new coil, leaving the mounting bolts slightly loose.
- Set the air gap between the coil and flywheel magnets. A standard business card (approx. 0.010 in / 0.25 mm) can be used as a feeler gauge.
- Rotate the flywheel until the magnets attract the coil against the gauge.
- Tighten the mounting bolts to secure the coil in place, then remove the gauge.
- Reconnect the kill switch wire and attach the new spark plug boot.
