FAQ

This valve features an M10 x 1.25 threaded inlet and a 1/4-inch hose barb outlet. It is designed with a 90-degree ON/OFF rotation mechanism and includes an integrated fuel strainer.
This petcock is compatible with a wide range of generators, including Honda EU1000i, EU2000i, and EU3000i; Yamaha EF2000iSv2, EF6300iSDE, EF2400iSHC, ET600, ET650, and ET950; and various models from Champion Power Equipment, Firman, Rato, Predator, Durostar, Westinghouse, and Generac.
This unit replaces 28-1783-V, 310574GS, 193272GS, 204743GS, and OH3384.
You should consider replacing the valve if you notice fuel leaking from the handle or the threaded base, if the switch has become seized or difficult to turn, or if the internal flow is restricted, preventing the engine from receiving adequate fuel. If you find debris in your fuel line despite having a filter, the integrated strainer in the petcock may be damaged.
The most common cause of failure is the degradation of internal rubber seals due to ethanol-blended fuels, which can cause the valve to leak or stick. Additionally, sediment buildup from old or contaminated fuel can clog the internal strainer, leading to fuel starvation issues.
When replacing the petcock, it is highly recommended to also replace the fuel line if it shows signs of cracking or hardening. You should also inspect the fuel tank for any debris or rust that may have caused the original valve to fail. Always ensure the threads are clean before installation to prevent cross-threading the tank bung.
