  • Example Compatible Tire Sizes: 26x1.75, 26x1.90, 26x1.95, 26x2.0, 26x2.10, 26x2.125
  • Valve Type: Schrader (A/V)
  • Primary Use: Mountain bikes, cruiser bikes, and hybrid bicycles.

When to Replace

  • Following a puncture that cannot be reliably repaired with a patch kit.
  • When the tube consistently loses air pressure overnight or in a few hours.
  • If the valve stem is damaged, bent, corroded, or leaking at its base.
  • If the tube's rubber material shows signs of aging, such as brittleness or cracking.

Installation Tips

  • Before installing, inflate the new tube slightly until it holds a round shape. This prevents twisting inside the tire.
  • Thoroughly inspect the inside of the tire and rim for any sharp objects or debris that could cause a new puncture.
  • Confirm the rim strip is correctly positioned, in good condition, and fully covers the spoke nipples.
  • Insert the valve stem through the rim hole first, then carefully tuck the rest of the tube into the tire.
  • Avoid using tools to pry the final section of the tire bead over the rim, as this can pinch and damage the new tube.
  • Before fully inflating, check that the tire bead is seated evenly on both sides of the rim. Inflate to the pressure indicated on the tire sidewall.

FAQ

These tubes are designed to fit 26-inch bicycle tires with widths ranging from 1.75" to 2.125". This includes common tire sizes such as 26 x 1.75, 26 x 1.90, 26 x 1.95, 26 x 2.0, 26 x 2.10, and 26 x 2.125.
You likely need a replacement if your tire loses pressure consistently over a short period, if you have identified a puncture that cannot be patched, or if the valve stem is leaking or damaged. We recommend inspecting the inside of your tire casing for thorns, glass, or debris before installing the new tube to prevent an immediate flat.
The installation process is straightforward and typically requires only a set of tire levers to safely pry the tire bead off the rim and a bicycle pump to inflate the tube. A wrench may be required if your wheel is secured to the frame with axle nuts rather than a quick-release lever.
Start by fully deflating the old tube and using tire levers to remove one side of the tire from the rim. Remove the old tube, then inspect the inside of the tire and the rim tape for any sharp objects or protruding spoke ends. Inflate the new tube just enough to give it shape, insert it into the tire, seat the tire bead back onto the rim, and finish by inflating to the pressure recommended on your tire's sidewall.
The most common causes of failure are under-inflation, which leads to 'pinch flats' against the rim, or debris remaining inside the tire casing from a previous puncture. Additionally, ensure the rim tape is in good condition, as worn or shifted tape can expose the tube to sharp spoke holes, causing a blowout.
