  • Interchangeable with capacitors from brands such as Aerovox, TEMCo, ClimaTek, and others meeting the same MFD and voltage ratings.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for continuous duty in single and three-phase AC motor applications.
  • Commonly used in:
    • Air conditioner condenser fan motors
    • Furnace blower motors
    • Heat pumps
    • Pool and spa pumps
    • Compressors
  • Physical Dimensions: 2.0 in Width x 2.5 in Height x 1.25 in Depth (approximate case size).

When to Replace

  • Motor produces a humming sound but fails to start.
  • The capacitor case is visibly swollen, bulging, or leaking fluid.
  • Capacitance measures outside the rated tolerance (below 4.75 uF or above 5.25 uF) when tested with a multimeter.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before beginning work.
  • Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with a resistor or an insulated tool.
  • Confirm the uF (MFD) rating and voltage of the new capacitor match the component being replaced.
  • Note the wiring configuration before disconnecting the old part.
  • Ensure all electrical connections are tight and secure after installation.
  • Step 1

    Step 1

Turn off the power and locate the capacitor
  • Step 2

    Step 2

Discharge any stored electricity by shorting the terminals
  • Step 3

    Step 3

Take a photo or note how the wires connect. Disconnect wires & install the new capacitor.
  • Step 4

    Step 4

    Reassemble and test
