Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for continuous duty in motor run applications.
  • Used in air conditioner condensers, heat pumps, furnace blowers, and other single-phase AC motors.
  • Compatible with systems specifying either a 370VAC or 440VAC capacitor. A 440VAC capacitor can safely replace a 370VAC unit.

When to Replace

  • The motor hums but will not start or struggles to start.
  • The fan or compressor fails to turn on.
  • Visible signs of damage, such as a swollen or bulging top, cracks, or leaking oil.
  • Capacitance measures outside the specified tolerance range when tested with a multimeter.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before servicing.
  • Safely discharge the existing capacitor by shorting the terminals with a properly insulated tool.
  • Confirm that the capacitance (MFD/µF) and voltage ratings are appropriate for your application.
  • Ensure terminals are connected securely. Polarity is not a factor for this type of AC capacitor.
