Compatibility & Fitment

  • Dual run capacitor for operating a compressor motor and a fan motor simultaneously.
  • Suitable for use in air conditioning units, heat pumps, condenser fan motors, and compressors.
  • Designed for continuous duty in single-phase and three-phase motor applications.
  • Dual voltage rating allows for use as a replacement in both 370 VAC and 440 VAC systems.

When to Replace

  • The connected motor hums but does not start.
  • Fan or compressor runs intermittently or fails to start.
  • Capacitor casing is physically swollen, cracked, or leaking oil.
  • Capacitance measurement is outside the rated tolerance when tested with a multimeter.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before servicing.
  • Safely discharge the old capacitor by shorting its terminals with an insulated-handle tool.
  • Note or photograph the wire connections to the FAN, HERM, and C terminals before removal.
  • Ensure the replacement capacitor's MFD (uF) rating matches the original. The voltage rating must be equal to or greater than the original.
  • Confirm the physical dimensions (diameter and height) for proper fit within the mounting bracket.
  • Step 1

    Step 1

Turn off the power and locate the capacitor
  • Step 2

    Step 2

Discharge any stored electricity by shorting the terminals
  • Step 3

    Step 3

Take a photo or note how the wires connect. Disconnect wires & install the new capacitor.
  • Step 4

    Step 4

    Reassemble and test
