FAQ

This belt fits 50-inch deck Toro TimeCutter Z models, including the Z5000, Z5020, Z5030, Z5035, Z5040, and Z5060. It also cross-references with Ariens and Gravely part 07200107. Please verify your mower's deck size and original belt part number before ordering.
This belt replaces Toro/Lawn-Boy part 110-6892 and Ariens/Gravely part 07200107. It is also compatible with part number 7200107 and cross-references with Stens part 265-534.
Typical symptoms include the blades not engaging, weak or uneven cutting, belt squealing, a burning rubber smell, visible cracking or glazing, frayed edges, or the belt repeatedly jumping off the pulleys. On zero-turn mowers, a worn deck belt can also cause slower blade spin and poor discharge performance in heavier grass.
For most 50-inch TimeCutter deck setups, this is a moderate repair that usually takes about 30 to 60 minutes. Common tools include a socket or wrench set, pliers for spring handling if needed, and a breaker bar or ratchet to relieve idler tension. It is recommended to photograph the belt routing before removal, as incorrect routing is a common cause of immediate belt failure.
Inspect the spindle pulleys, idler pulleys, tensioner arm, belt keepers, and deck bearings. A new belt can wear out quickly if a pulley is seized, misaligned, bent, or wobbling. Additionally, clean packed grass from the deck and pulley grooves, and verify that the belt guides are not rubbing the belt excessively.
The most common causes are normal wear, overheating from slipping, worn idler pulleys, weak tensioners, debris buildup under the deck, and running the mower with misaligned pulleys. Hitting stumps or heavy debris can also shock-load the belt and damage its internal cords.
