  • Operating Temperature Range: -40°C to +70°C (-104°F to +158°F)

Replaces / Cross-Reference Part Numbers

  • Replaces any round motor start capacitor with the same capacitance and voltage ratings.
  • Commonly replaces capacitors identified as CD60 type.
  • Ensure physical dimensions are compatible with your existing mounting bracket.

Compatibility & Fitment

  • Designed for single-phase AC electric motors that require a start capacitor.
  • Suitable for a wide range of applications, including:
  • HVAC systems
  • Air conditioner compressors
  • Heat pumps
  • Refrigeration units
  • Well pumps and other water pumps
  • General purpose AC motors

When to Replace

  • Motor hums or buzzes but does not start.
  • Motor starts slowly or requires manual assistance to turn.
  • Circuit breaker trips upon motor startup.
  • Visible damage to the existing capacitor, such as swelling, bulging, or leaking fluid.
  • Capacitance measures outside of the +/- 20% tolerance range when tested with a multimeter.

Installation Tips

  • Disconnect all electrical power to the equipment before beginning installation.
  • Carefully discharge the old capacitor by shorting the terminals with an insulated tool.
  • Verify the uF/MFD and VAC ratings of the new capacitor match the specifications of the original part.
  • Note the wire placement on the old capacitor before disconnecting.
  • As an AC capacitor, it is not polarized; wires can be connected to either terminal.
